trying times - story outline

Three best friend triangles are chilling out on a summer’s day having a bbq. They decide it would be nice to take a picture of this day. But whilst taking the photo the mischievous red makes bunny ears behind Greens head ruining the photo. They begin to argue and silver in the back gets bored and wonders off. Once the bbq is set alight they notice their friend is missing and go off to search for their friend. Red quickly notices a triangle face down in the dirt but once they flip him over they realize it’s not their friend and it’s a different triangle. This mustached triangle points in the forest and after following the path they see it leads up the mountain. Once to the top of the mountain, red immediately notices another triangle in bushes and rums on towards into the bush. He jumps out immediately and is chased by a giant rhino, red and green run away and climb a tree to escape. At the top of the tree red sees another triangle in the water and without thinking he jumps into to the water. But before he can even reach the water a shark jumps out and swallows him whole. Greens sees this delivers a flying elbow to the shark and causes him to spit out his friend. Both red and green are now trapped on the edge of a cliff a rhino in front of them and a shark on the left. Then suddenly a truck drives out the top of mountain and lands in-between Red and green and the Rhino, the door fly’s open and they get in, once in the truck drives off the mountain and crashed in to beach below. After red and green escape the truck, silver appears out of the truck, shocking red and green.

‘ two triangles, one stubborn and blockhead, the other cunning and petty, struggle on a quest to find their lost friend.

Creative play with digital media students

The day began in the maker space, along with the digital media students. The digital media tutor called Mark explained to us that we were going to be placed randomly selected groups and make a tower only using paper and no other materials. My team was nice however they were quite quiet, me and Decland tried to lead the conversation and get everyone talking and sharing, they opened up a but but even by the end of the day some members of the group weren't really talking. The first task was building the tallest tower using only paper and no other materials and at the top of the tower an egg for fifteen seconds. I felt like only half of our group were trying to work quickly and because we were working at a slightly slower pace to other groups it hindered the potential of the final product. As a team we decided that it was best to have the egg protected so it wouldn't die.  With our team being number one we were made to present first, and then we were told it would be measured f...

Belbin - Making of

Belbin roles - Making a balanced team  Going into this session, I still hadn't decided on which group i want to join but Annabeth said it should be decided by the end of this session. I had offers from a few groups but decided to join up with Jolanta, Elena and Alisha as i knew i wanted to another attempt at a 2-D group project and i felt like this team had good chemistry and was full of talented artists. Annabeth explained Belbin roles to us and how these 9 personalities make a strong balanced team.  When going through the Belbin roles i found that these four applied best to me;   Monitor Evaluator  -  I feel this suits me well as i know that the critical side of my brain is over developed and have always thought i had sound judgement when it came to decision making. Working very slowly resonated too deeply and is something I'm trying to work on. Team Worker -  I feel that my social relation when working in a group is always good,...

Trying to give triangles life

I knew Chris was going to be in the afternoon lecture and i hadnt gotten much round to doing any character designs for script to screen, mainly because they were traingles and i didn't think it would be too difficult. When i got round to it i was struggling to give the characters personality and they just looked really flat. I experimented with creating more complicated designs using a verity of triangles but because the story i had in mind was light hearted and comedic i thought it'd be best to keep with a more cartoonty simple style. Howver i was still left with the problem of the designs looking lifeless When lecture came about chris thought it'd be best to go back to basics and focus on gesture lines and had us in groups create actions and to draw them out. I enjoyed working with my group, but talking to people after class it seemed like half the class didn't enjoy it which kind of baffled me Near the end of class i got chris to look at my des...
