Had a lot of difficulty making him look the same from different angles, Indya was taking the piss of how slow I work but I think they look good
The area i had most difficulty was wirh side view. I couldnt draw it from the full side and have it look like the character still. What ended up happening was that i sraw a side/ 3/4 veiw.
Emotions were more fun, Ive always preferred drawing faces and expressions.
The challenge I had with this was face was a skull and a skull can't really emote.
I decided to add eyebrows so it was a bit of cheat. A big feature of the character is the eyes so I think emphasizing them will only add the strength of the character. The character already had a lot of personality but adding emotions and body language add so much more personality I was surprised.
I did a really simple colour way for him, i think the green suits him the most as it gives off a smelly and foul vibe, which is what i was intending. The rest didn't really stand out to me but i felt like the poses in which he was in really matched the colour i chose. ( red paint me like one of your french girls)
Building the maquette was an enjoyable process also. I came in late and had to work away from other people, and i think that helped in my production and i was just jamming out to some music.
I build the maqette from wire which wasn't as malleable as i thought, but it gave a really solid foundation for the skull. The body was fattened by scrunched up masking tape with clay over the top. It was fun to make but i wasn't really that good at it but i think if i gave it another go it would come out better. Annnabeth also suggested using real hair on top of the maqette and that kinda grossed me out a little.
