Final scenes for 'working not begging'

Now that we had the first scene me and Indya went into town to shoot the footage to work on. It was a bit embarrassing but drawing in public settings gives the same feeling. We found a good spot behind print works, with a tramlines and construction in the background, an environment I'd associate with Manchester.

So after we had gotten the footage we went back to peel park to finish the ideas for the last scene. Because now the scenes were a conversation, we were thinking of what the different conversations could be. The first ends scene ends with the two characters meeting each other so it would make sense to put the decision in there. The idea we came up with was that the decision is what your response is when a stranger approaches you. The four options would be levels of emotion you have to the question, 'do you have a minute to spare?'. If you pick the most negative option you wouldn't get any information and if you pick the most positive option you'd get a load of information as well as the first characters (dude/Daniel) backstory and backgrounds. We have plenty of time to finish the animation depending on how quickly the first scene gets done.

Devil and demons - turnaround and emotions

disclaimer i lost my bag which had the rough 10 sketches as well as the poststick nots for the old lion and the fox, ive redone both but the orginals were much better  I've been really enjoying these tasks that Annabeth has been setting us, this being no different. After to speaking to a few people the character that people liked the most was actually my favourite too. I has missed the lecture that this was assigned to us but there was enough information on blackboard to go off that I was lost on what to do. While doing the turnarounds I came to the unfortunate realisation that I was struggling with getting my character to look consistently like its self from different angles. I'm guessing this was the point of the task and this is one of the reason I'm loving this course because I know how much I have to progress and these tasks are shining a light on them. It's a bit sad because personally I like it and I know that's what it takes to improve but on the ...

Trying to give triangles life

I knew Chris was going to be in the afternoon lecture and i hadnt gotten much round to doing any character designs for script to screen, mainly because they were traingles and i didn't think it would be too difficult. When i got round to it i was struggling to give the characters personality and they just looked really flat. I experimented with creating more complicated designs using a verity of triangles but because the story i had in mind was light hearted and comedic i thought it'd be best to keep with a more cartoonty simple style. Howver i was still left with the problem of the designs looking lifeless When lecture came about chris thought it'd be best to go back to basics and focus on gesture lines and had us in groups create actions and to draw them out. I enjoyed working with my group, but talking to people after class it seemed like half the class didn't enjoy it which kind of baffled me Near the end of class i got chris to look at my des...

James' Balls and other parts - Making of - A.E sessions

After effects sessions Ball bounces and pendulum  Annabeth and Jame thought it would be best to teach the class the basics of after effects and have us all have a basic under standing of the software. I was fairly familiar with after effects as there's is almost an endless supply of tutorials online but I think shows the depth that after effects can go into. We started off with simple functional animations such as the ball bounce and pendulum, i wish that we learned this last year as it was far easier to in after effects, and i think would of assisted me in stop mo and definitely in Maya.  As you can see the graphs are much clearer and i think easier to understand, this kind of knowledge is really useful as most people would think this is really complicated but to us animators this is much friendlier to us.  As well as the ball we did a pendulum, and furthered that and made a leg with moving parts using the bone tool. I ...
